A Taste of Charleston Walking Tour & Cooking Demonstration

On this special excursion you will learn about the history, culture and evolution of Lowcountry cuisine, which features seafood and delicacies brought from Africa in the 18th and 19th centuries (okra, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds and collard greens) as you stroll past lovely homes and gardens in Charleston’s beautiful old historic district.  After your stroll an expert chef will demonstrate preparing some of Charleston’s wonderful receipts (recipes) using some of our special southern ingredients. Yet, perhaps the most important element is the famous southern hospitality with which the dishes are lovingly prepared.  Plus you can enjoy generous tastings and a glass of wine during the cooking demonstration.

Wednesday, June 3, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Price: US $75.00 per person.
