Historic Charleston Walking Tour: Patriots & Pirates

Travel to Charleston’s old historic district where you will meet your guide for this fascinating tour.  As you stroll with your guide through this old and historic city you will not only learn about her heroes but also about those infamous villains who preyed upon the city.  This city with its beautiful old historic homes, stately churches, and magnificent public buildings was preyed upon by some of the more famous pirates in the 1700's.  During the American Revolution she was a hotbed if revolutionary activity.  This activity makes for great stories today. Your guide will literally bring 18th century Charleston to life for you. Included in this tour will be a visit to the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, one of the three most important buildings in the country from the Revolutionary period of our history. Your tour will end in the Old City Market where you can spend time shopping and browsing, as well as have lunch in one of the many fine restaurants Charleston has to offer.
